Not many consumers would ever have heard of Windows Home Server, but in my option it is great product. I have used a Home Server in my home for over 2 years and now couldn’t be without it.
The original home server was based on the Windows 2003 server operating system. This latest version now is based on the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system with 64-bit, meaning it is very reliable, powerful and extendable.
Microsoft Windows Home Server 2011 is aimed at homes with multiple computers, Home Office or even the small business.
We have been using these servers in numerous businesses as a client backup server and also a simple file server. Windows Home Server will do a full PC image daily while allowing for full system restore or even down to individual file recovery. As file server this offers a place to centrally store data while also offering basic file security.
If you have multiple PCs with increasingly large amounts of digital photography, music, video, and documents, then protecting, organizing, and connecting this digital media can be a challenging task. Help with managing your digital dilemmas has arrived. Windows Home Server does more than Network Attached Storage (NAS)
